Front forks leaking oil

Hi there. Hope everyone is well.
Can anyone help me with information on my front forks please. I have a 2006 K9 and the forks have started to leak, do I need to replace the springs as well as the seals? And what type of oil to use. Also where can I purchase these, I am in the UK so if anyone knows a place to buy from here that’s great, if not then I’ll order online from anywhere that’s best, thanks in advance

HDM(bigdogpartskingpin) should have a rebuild kit. Springs not needed. They also sell on ebay if thats easier.

This is the oil you want. If you want to make the job easier putting the seals back in. Get you a Ringer seal driver.

Thank you guys. I’ve ordered 1 Litre of the PJ1 30w oil from eBay in the UK. But I’m having trouble with ordering the rebuild seal kits from Big dog parts or the official big dog site, as they don’t ship to the UK. Can I just buy any 41mm fork seal kit for Harley Davidsons? As there are lots of these kits on eBay uk.

Hi folks. Me again. So my K9 is currently in the workshop having the fork seals installed but the mechanic has phoned me today as when he removed the forks he discovered the ends where the seal sits are rusted, he said it will need chrome plating or new forks, but there is a long wait to do either of those, so he asked me to ask on here if anyone else has had this problem and help on overcoming it. I’ll upload photos for you to see. Any help or advice is much appreciated. Thank you.

You wore thu the hard chrome. Typical. You will just need new tubes. Not the entire fork assembly. 41mm +12. You can source from many vendors. Clean out the lowers and Scotch Brite any nasty bits.
