Nice job John, did you remove the rubber rear tank mount? I don't see it there.

Did you want to borrow my hammer n chisel to get that black shit off the top of the pistons
I didn't remove it, it fell off when I pulled the tank off!
and hell no I don't want your hammer and chisel:confused: that build up probably is increasing my compression, if I remove it I'll loose power! Hahahah!:D:D:D

One ? How did your gaskets look?
Well, I saw why it was leaking, the gasket had a crack in it but it looked like somebody tried to patch it with some permatex or something like that, there was all kinds of orange rubbery shit on it, I think the previous owner must have done it just so he could trade it in!

Shit Paul, I hope you make it! Now KnotSo said he can't make it this year! Shit, it might just be me, Curtis and Ray if you don't make it!
I am planning on being there but I have some big items on my plate at work. Has to deal with 4 star shit. My days have been 0600 until almost 1130 pm every night this last week

I know you have a lot on your plate right know, but now would be the time to see what cam you have in there, with the gasket and 5 minutes you would know.

Looking good. Take you're time with the valve adjustment and get it right the first time. Good luck! Hope you make it to Red Wood.

I talked to Curtis and he said that it was important to make sure the rings were in the same position when you put the piston back in the cylinder, he never said anything about changing the rings.
NO need to worry about the rings being in the same position as when you removed the cylinders. Rings rotate when the engine is running. They'll be what they'll be. Just be sure the ring gaps ARE NOT lined up when you reinstall the cylinders.
