Hey dudes, I need some help and confirmation of a problem I think I figured out. I recently had issues with my brake lights staying on continuously. So I did the simple checks. Rear brake switch was showing a closed circuit (normally open). So I pulled the right handle control and unplugged the wires from the circuit board and walla, the brake lights work fine with the foot brake. The EHC is not showing any faults so I checked the circuit board. Orange wire to ground was showing continuity so I figured the little magnetic switch is bad. I cut it off and no more continuity. Plugged everything back up and it seems to be working fine for now. :whoop: Please chime in with any info on obtaining a new right handle control circuit board and if my diagnosis and fix are correct. I hope that is all and I don't need a new EHC. I am hoping Big Dog and Wireplus has their new plug and play set up soon as I may go ahead and do the "ditch the bitch" set up as others have already done. I know that there are guys here that can give me more insight as to what the hell is going on. Thank you brothers. :feedback:

Did you try adjusting the magnet back just alittle?
Yes I did. No joy there. Like I said I tested the PCB and the brake circuit was showing continuity leading me to believe the switch was bad. It is my understanding that it normally is open and only closes when you pull the brake handle (the small round magnet is in the hand lever). It should not stay closed when completely taken out.
Any one else have some info to share????

Issue fixed. Needed a new PCB, sensor was bad, also had to file out the hole a bit as the sensor would not slide in far enough to be in range of the magnet. Thanks for the help.

Got a 08 Pitbull - same problem. But I run a switch activated by the levers and do not use the EHC......

Sometimes the brake light stays on - it will only turn off when I put a screwdriver in between the magent and the switch or pull away the magnet from the switch by uninstalling the handles...

Do you have a solution for this problem?

I did occur when i twisted the controls down forward. It seems that the internal switch also can be irritaded by the cables in the housing - am I wrong???

Thanks for your help

There is a very small allen set screw in the front half housing that has to be loosened and the small tube shaped sensor withdrawn a little and then set screw back in just snug. This should fix that issue. It is covered in the service manual, but the pictures suck. It's a trial and error kind of thing. :flag:
