front brake proximity switch

working on an 04 chopper, found that prox switch is bad. anyone know who makes these? i thought it might be pm, but they didn't supply handlebar controls

Searching the Forum I´ve found this Thread.... I have the same problem...

I went to change my R/H controls because I wanted to install the ones sent to me by one member as these ones have the "cruise control" lever installed...

Someone did glue the proximity switch (the one with the wires hooked to the circuit board) into the hole :bang: anyways... I did rip the cables off and then pushed it out with a screwdriver & hammer :rolleyes:

QUESTIONS:

1. by the looks of it, can the switch be found and installed onto the CB or I will need to buy a whole new circuit board?

2. Someone, did solder a piece of wire from one of the two switch´s wires to one of the screws (see pic) Why would they do that? extra ground? :confused:

Now, can´t remember WHO in this Forum did send me the Handle Bar controls... I want to give him some Rep Points (if I haven't already) Having them did save my ass!!! :D The new circuit board worked spot on without extra wires :up:
