Guys, How do I get the lever out of the machined assembly so I can rebuild the master cylinder? I do not see any way to remove it to get to the mc.
Thanks

Ok WTF, I do not have 2 small hex head screws or this retaining pin. The only thing I see is a white plastic thing on the front edge of the brake handle itself and this part is not visible unless you have the lever pulled back. There must be a slot for this thing to slide in and out of the assembly and then a sleeve or something to keep it in place???? Are the 04 Pitbulls different in some way?

When you put it back together just be carefull of the front brake magnet and the wire. Don't pinch the wire when you put the two halves together. Use some small zip ties to wrap up the excess wire and use lots of die-electric grease on the connections.

Have fun,
Ray

I have a 2008 big dog ridgeback and I'm trying to swap out the lever also because magnet broke. I am having the same problem taking the lever out.

You have to remove the mirror and there is sleeve inside that will need to be removed. Use a flat heat screw driver and need nose pliers to remove it.
You will have to remove the center piece between the upper and lower control. There is a hex bolt that that is in the bottom of the lower control.

Finally had a day off to replace the lever. Was very easy once I got the sleeve out. I didn't see the notch at the top at first. Thanks again guys!
