FRONT BRAKE LEVER MAGNET

OK I have searched the forum for an answer to my problem. I can't find any thing that relates to my issue. So here it goes... I know that there is some form of magnet. From what I can tell mine is either gone or broke. I can see where there is a hole for the magnet on the brake handle. I cannot tell if there is one in there. Not sure how far it is supposed to stick out. Not sure how to adjust it. And speaking of adjustment do you have to split the to halves or can it be adjusted without taking it apart? I have read that there is a small set screw for adjusting the wire part of it. Not sure about the magnet though. I did place a small magnet inside the brake lever. The brake lights worked. So I would assume the electrical part of it is ok. Long post I know. Hopefully no one fell asleep reading it. Thanks.

That adjustment has been discussed on here before but I am not sure what it is under. Good luck and keep warm.

You´ve got it!!!! I have been there, you should see the magnet... it sticks out about 3-5 millimeters more or less.... I put super-glue in it about two years ago and still works!

It is of this shape.

Hey awg the magnet is made by hamlin! The part number is 57020-000. Go online and type in hamlin magnet and the part number. You can get one for a little over a dollar if you look around on the different sellers!!!
