Front brake bolts size?

Ok, let me see if I can describe this correctly. The two bolts which attach the front brake system to the forks themselves, what size are they. It's the bolts from the forks to the bracket that attaches to the braking system. I called BDM Co and they told me 3/8x1inch Threaded to 16. I bought some hardware of this size but it was too large. I found a 1/4 fit better but I haven't matched the Treaded size yet, anyone know? I still can't believe both bolts fell out. I was lucky the front brake didn't get caught up in the front wheel while I was riding.

If your talking about fork brace bolts where they bolt to the inside of the fork then those are 1/4-20 by 1/2" long allen head counter sunk bolts...

Brake caliper to fork brace bolts are 3/8-16

That size was perfect, thanks for the info. Now I have a whirring sound from the left sided when I pull in the clutch, always something....

Could be a throw out bearing, compensator, loose primary chain...you will just have to take the outer primary cover off and see whats going on
