Hey folks,

With everyone gearing up for bike week, Leesburg and other events which will have you cruising back roads at all hours, Slime has an air compressor about the size of a Sony Walkman. It's only 10 bucks at Autozone. This thing works great. With a tire plug kit, I'm seeing some serious peace of mind for very little space consumed.

Not to date you brother but your reference to a Sony Walkman was classic. I'm sure there are a few members here thinking "what the hell is a walkman?"

Awww I remember. I think that one plugs into a 12 volt cigarette lighter? Need one to clamp onto the battery terminals.

You could hack the cig plug off and put a plug on to match the battery tender (that you should have installed anyway)

I took the pigtail off an old dead battery tender and replaced the lighter plug with that. I just plug it into my BT connecter.Works like a charm and I don't even have to pull the seat!

Jay, you had to bust me on that...

Now I'm sitting here trying to figure out what I could have said...
A brick of sharp cheddar?

Those are pretty cool. Looked at adding them to my store but at $10-$12 and all over the internet I decided not to.
I would have one if I didn't have these tubed laced wheels.
1 Year too soon. I think 2012 came out with the tubless.

Jay I still have one of them.
I think the Smithsonian Inst. is offering big bucks for them......

It shows as 19.99 in the Dallas area, still not bad for peace of mind. As someone else suggested, it would be a great item to carry on my Ultra (along with my plug kit), but I doubt I could find a place to store in on my K9. I currently carry the little cans of gas, but I've wondered how dependable they are.

I double checked my receipt: $9.99. Headed over to Daytona I'm just doing a backpack. So carrying for bike week is no problem even for a Chopper dude. But I did check and it does fit in my leather fork bag. Or just ride with someone on a bagger! "hey Nick, got room for my jacket in there? Thanks man... Oh wait, my cigar case... Thanks bro." God does that drive the guy nuts.:whoop:

looks like a good idea
Has anyone used the kits with the C02 cartridges? I bought one back in 08 for the first trip to Mexico and luckily have never had to use it

Great idea for the long hauls... also keep one (and a tube of slime, plug kit) in the pickup, just in case I come across somebody who ain't thought of it yet. The only time I've had to use it so far was on a bike run though. Goin' on ten years or so now since a unlucky guy I worked with showed me they were making small 12 V ones. Never saw a dude get so many flats... wow.

We keep one in the good Mrs Metal's car too, in case she gets a flat it's easier than changing the tire for her, as a temporary fix. She's got better sense than to stop for no-goods with a bike tire out, of course unless said no-goods are my friends lol.
