Well I'm not really needing help just yet but I do have a question Ill post this so others can see what I'm talking bout Pulled the forks off the 07 Chopper knew it was due for seals and bushings ...well found this on the fork tubes

So I got with Curtis and ordered some new fork tubes ,anyway my question the tubes have some sort of small spring about a inch or so up from the bottom that does not show on the diagram ? I'm hoping the new tubes come with this bottom section cause I'm not sure how to remove this :job:

Does the bottom of the fork tube screw off ? Or "Curtis" do the new tubes come with the bottom section shown in the picture above?:job:
So the Chop sits like this till the parts come I'll find out soon enough I guess.

Several years ago when I odered new tubes, they came with lower section with spring installed. Make sure to check them the fisrt set one of the springs inside was broken and making noise.

Yes the tubes will have the same setup you have now. All you will have to do is install your new parts to the new tubes and reassemble...

PASSED ON

Well the Dakota says 11500 but its prob a bit more .. this year the CVO got more play then any of the bikes and the Softtail was passed on to my son in July of this year so the chop will get some miles put on her!

I miss the HD a little but I figured it was time.
