Fork Tubes Off 03 BD Chopper Total Length 34" Will Trade For Black Forward Controls

I have my old original fork tubes with everything you need springs bolts everything you need to mount them to your bike. There in "EXCELLENT SHAPE" only reason I changed them was to increase the rake in my front end. Trying to get $300.00 for them or B/O + Shipping OR I will trade them for a set of forward controls "BLACK" if interested in trading please send me pictures of controls you have.

I will guarantee them cause I know there is nothing wrong with them. Any problem with mechanical issues only you can return them within 14 days of purchase for a full refund buyer pays return shipping. I do accept PAYPAL

How do you trash forks??? Unless you T-bone someone... All you probably need to do is take a wire Brillo pad to them to clean them up, buy a lower re-seal kit and put them back together...

Whats up Bad Dog Bill.
Yes to the T boned question. The bike did T bone someone and the upper legs are extreemly bent. Check out my pictures if you have a minute. Because of the sevarity im wondering if the bottoms are ok? They look straight but it was a large impact. Ill try and take them apart and look at them. I just dont really know what to look for other than the obvious scratched, bent, out of place thing. Im concerned with an impact like that is it smarter to replace everything? I dont know anything about forks. (obviously)
All imput is appreceated.

If I was interested, could I pick them up, try them out on my bike and pay you later?

I posted on your other thread didn't realize you are the same member. Ya, really check out the frame to see if it's tweaked before you buy all the parts. I'd say the lowers are fine but also check out the wheel and trees for cracks. Your bike should be an easy fix. Good luck.

I just replaced the fork tubes on my 03 Chopper this summer. Never did the job before in my life. It was 2 ez! Curtis at WSW can sell you a new set very reasonable! They are 10 over tubes.

I started out doing a seal replacement only to find out the tubes were wore thru the chrome. So I had to go new.

I've got an 03 chopper I'm looking after for someone who's on a 5 year vacation. The forks need new seals so any ideas where I can get a rebuild lit and any info on instructions.

This is an easy job if you take your time and have a clean work bench to lay everything out. Read Gas Man's "how to" and you can do it in about 4 hours. WSW new parts are the way to go. Not worth buying used, unless someone gave them to you for free. My chopper rides so much better. Good luck.

Me too! I got my tubes, seals, oil, and even wheel bearings for $265.
