I had looked up the proper way to replace my fork seals and it helped out alot! I forgot who posted all those extreamly helpful tips and pics but you are THE MAN. I'm about to replace them and I was looking for some direct info. My ride has 16 grand on it now and I was wondering if I should just go ahead and replace everything seals, spacers and the whole nine. There is alot of wear that I can see but I'm not a pro. Can anyone assist me.

Also if any of you hard Corps MOFOs out there are anywhere near Carlsbad, CA drop me a line and will cruise the 101 (when I get my darling back together).

Papa Bear,
I did mine just a few weeks ago on my 03 Mastiff. Even though I did the 10k service late, the bushings were worn but the fork tubes were still fine.

I replaced everything, seals, bushings spacers everything comes in a kit. You can get them off ebay or at your local HD or indy shop for under 30 bucks. Just make sure you get a kit for 41mm tubes (if that's what you got).

Look in the how to section (how to service your forks) (BY GASMAN!)and go to lowes and buy the pvc pipes you'll need to make your own tool. I did and used the how to and it was a no brainer.

good luck, have fun and remember that it will smell bad and make a mess but you are wrenching on your own ride and that is a sweet feeling, plus, you are saving some serious dinero on labor charges.....:D
