FINALLY.

took a lot of penetrating oils, rubber, a seat belt, a strap wrench, and a giant pipe wrench. but it broke loose. put all the new parts in and fluid, and rode to work today.

I need to have my Fork Seals done. I am going to order the parts.

I have done them on my dirt bikes before, and I have also paid to have them done on a dirt bike before.

Curious for this, and later on down the road things I may not want to tackle my self (although I have now had most the bike apart so not alot scares me)

Where should I take it? anyone got a guy in this area?

I know the few main shops: Rocket Harley, Midway, Cycle Nation.
If you can catch him, Larry at American Motorcycles has done good work on my 03 Chopper; otherwise, I go all the way up to Nashville and see Red at R&B Cycles.

Quick question does the service manual for the chopper call for 30wt just like the K9. If so I'm wondering what ride difference you felt going from 30wt to 20wt fork oil ?

I remember getting a little leak on one side of my forks and I will be dammed but I couldn't get anything to get it off, just like you one side came right off the other it was like the used Loctite the bastards. I will have to try the above and see because I know I have to get the forks done sooner or later.
