FORK HELP!!!!!

Ok,
This might be a stupid question but I'll go ahead and ask it.

Just took my forks apart and noticed that the preload spacer washers (Items 29) have a flat side and a more rounded side to them.

I also recall or former member Dogvet mentioning something about people "putting the washers in backwards"....

So is there a correct 'facing' of the washers???

Hi is that the Dampening Internal Whaser , I look in my manuel 2003 it,s looks
like the rond site is the top, but check it out a futher more.
