Fork degree

Mutt

Look for me on the road.
Is 5 or 7 degree too much for the Mutt. Right now I sit +2 out with 2 degree. I am looking at putting airride in the rear and was going to lower the front and was wondering what is too much? The bike is black so I was going to change the forks and trees to black but I wanted to have my ducks in a row before I did it. I have only messed with truck suspension so sorry for the lack of knowledge.

Do a trail calculation.

RB Racing Professional Rake and Trail Calculator

Ideally you want to be 4"-5". Anything above 6" and you'll probably get flop in the bars. I've done plenty of miles on a bike that's 8". Heavy low speed handling and floppy bars, but rides down the highway like it's on rails. Increasing rake in the trees might lower your trail, I don't think you want to go below 3.5" on a long bike, but you'll have to research that.
