Anyone know what size or what kind of Fork Damper is in our Big Dogs?
So during the rebuild of the forks I seem to have lost resistance on one of the legs. My only possible theory is that the damper rod is busted. Everything "looks" okay but I don't have the parts at my house to review.
But the forks are very simple the damper provides the resistance along with the spring. Currently I can slide the tube in & out with little no resistance and when the spring and PVC is inside the tube when I push in our out on the tube the PVC doesn't move. I should have to pull UP on the tube to full extension to get the top cap on however in this case up or down does not pose any issue.
It looks similar to this which fits - Harley Davidson FXDWG/FXDWG/I 1993-1999 / FXST/FXST/I/FXSTB/FXSTB/I 1999 / FXST/FXST/I 1984-1990 / FXSTC/FXSTC/I 1986-1999 / FXWG 1984-1986 - 94031.http://www.bigbadpowersports.com/pr...tacpg=601610&gclid=CPbJ4LeYprcCFStp7AodMmsA3g
However I am not sure if length or width is correct for our 41mm tubes.
