Ok I came up with the air cleaner after the seat wierd I know......:eek:

For all the curious about the design. I couldn’t come up with any ideas so I covered the seat with 2” masking tape then started sketching one half of the seat. I have lots of Jakes spikes plus some I made. So I wanted sharp points. The inside is an old knife maker’s trick. You cut hole in a blank of material then cut through about ¼ of the hole and you end up with a cool detail. This will be part of my air cleaner. It will make since when done. Here is a photo of what I am working on. The other side is just points with an ark. Took me about 5 min once I started. Same with jakes sissy bar design. Drove him crazy, sent me sketches etc. I have to lay it out in full scale then the shit comes to me. He gave me the over all dimensions (from the jig I sent him) then I let it hit me. Weird I know.

No I think it will clear because the back piece is recessed over an inch. The first air cleaner I made with the spikes was flush and the rear spike was digging into my leg so bad the first time I rode it I sopped at a hardware store and got a nut to take its place till I got home!!! This is 2” closer to the bike than that spike was. Shit anyway with Jakes spikes and all it wouldn’t be the first or last time I cut or stab myself! Ha Ha!

Oh and next time your out... pick up some aquarium air line to replace that overflow tube on the carb...
