I was thinking about pegs tonight and I'm thinking out loud now...

Is the mounting point/tab for BD pegs thicker then the Harley mounting point/tab? If they are, I'm thinking I can still go with the after market pegs that I want and just make a spacer for the thickness difference until Kuryakyn adapters actually hit the market.

Is my thinking flawed here?

Yes BH you can do that but there are a couple other issues. Next after using spacers for the width you will have the same issue with the depth. The big dog clevis is also deeper. Some pegs come with an set screw to adjust for that but I got to tell you it looks like shit with that gap. And the last problem is the small metric bolt that the big dog pegs have will need a spacer in the center to fill the void of the new peg which has a 3/8 hole. That all being said I found a guy one time that made an adaptor set like I was explaining and when I had it all together it moved around and did not feel stable to me at all. I lost the bolt spacers but still have the clevis ones they are yours if you want free.

I appreciate the offer, but I'll just wait. I didn't realize how much different the BD style and H-D style were.

Thanks for clearing things up for me.

Yeah I looked at those pieces Al put up... way too complicated and I could see what he meant in unstable.

dont give up yet boys a new soluation might be on its way if ya'll are interested.

thinkin about machining a replacment part for the stock clevis that will mount standard hd style pegs.

give me some feedback on what ya'll think

No it will match your already polished forward controls so if you decide down the road to have your controls chrome then do these at the same time.

plus its quite expensive for the chrome on sure a small run of parts. i do promise that my polish work is just as good if not better in most cases then the factory.
