Ok, a lot of fluid is coming out of my transmission vent tube only when driving.
1. it just started and i have not changed transmission fluid since early last
spring. leak just started soooo no I did not over fill it.
2. could it be primary fluid leaking into transmission causing it to be overfilled
that way.
3. could it have a internal transmission problem causing this.

front of rear fender is soaked lower frame is soaked. I first thought it was the
primary fluid leaking around starter. Inspected and its clean around starter.
I pulled vent tube off and blew through the tube and fluid came out. same smell and look as what is all over.

Thanks in advance.

Curtis that open primary is looking better all the time.

oh I have right at 14,000 miles and transmission has never been out.

Haven't had a chance to check fluid levels etc.. Tired from riding all day. Will check as soon as I can.

That's not alot of miles
I know if you let the trans fluid go to long the viscosity will break down to a point that it will blow out the vent tube.

Mot likely fluid transfer over from primary. Might be just the $7 trans main seal, or you may have some bearing problems. Hit me up when I'm back in the states in June :D

UPDATE!!
Damn. Andrew is correct. I just drained trans and primary. Primary is leaking into transmission. Metal shavings in transmission. So pull trans and send to Andrew if he will be back in the states soon. And if Curtis gets that group but together for the Baker open primary this would be the time for me to take that step.

At least it's the end of the riding season. NOT!! gotta go bang my head on the driveway. Still would never get rid of her for anything else. Love my Ridgeback.
14000 mikes with no trans work isn't to bad I suppose.
