X2 on the Spectro, pricey but worth it. Ive got it in all 3 of my dogs without any issues. Not sure about the sockets, I've been able to change my primary's with the tools I've had on hand

I just want to change all of the seals inner and outer primary. I've got leak coming from somewhere but can't figure it out. So figure I would change all the seals. I don't have to take the min drive pulley off for the inner primary seal replacements right. Would love to go open belt drive but too pricey for me.

Sorry it was a typo I meant any special sockets or tools. Damn auto correct kicked in on phone. I didn't know if there were any special pullers needed to complete job

Just did mine about a month ago. I've got an 04 chopper too. Had a leak coming from behind primary near trans. The trans seal is on the back of the inner primary. Comes with a starter jackshaft seal also. If you have any questions feel free to pm me.

You'll need a 1-1/8" socket for the clutch hub nut and a 1-1/2" socket for the compensator nut. Also a locking tool for removing and re-installing them.

This locking tool worked for me, but there are other options such as a locking bar or flyswatter. You'll need a torque wrench also. You won't need to remove the drive pulley to replace the primary seals.

You just have to take off clutch basket and front sprocket to change right. Or do I have to take off main drive pulley too

True. I wish I had taken pics of the process. Would have been useful. Damn.. Next time for sure.
I took a bunch of pics when doing my Karata install, doesn't include removal of outer primary cover as it's very straight forward...drain primary fluid, remove cap screws and pull outer off (I had to give a couple taps with a non-marking rubber mallet to separate).
Drain primary and remove outer

Loosen the clutch cable on the downtube, remove the clutch rod cover, and remove the clutch rod. I removed my exhaust, takes very little time and gives you more room and less chance to damage anything.

Take off the side covers and remove the two starter bolts.

Pull the starter back away from inner primary

Remove the diaphragm spring (4 bolts) and loosen primary chain tensioner.

Remove motor and clutch hub nut, please remember the clutch hub nut is left hand thread.

Slide everything off the tranny and motor shafts

Remove the eight inner primary bolts and remove the inner primary

Correct. You have to remove the starter jackshaft also. No need to remove drive pulley. You will need to remove the starter bolts from the back of inner primary in order to remove. Make sure when you do have everything removed, to check for any play in your transmission main shaft.
