Floating --> Solid Rotor?

RIDE IT HARD!!!
Solid rotors on mine. Don't trust the floaters. Would really suck to blow the buttons out on a hard stop. Just sayin.

Very unlikely your going to blow the buttons out, unless you put plastics ones in. I weigh 300 pounds and have had some pretty hard stops with no failures. Of course the problem you do have is the buttons get chewed up because of the sub standard material their made from and the extremely poor design of the "floating" system BD used.

sportbikes have been using them for years. They are very reliable. Not sure if it would be a benefit on choppers

I had only asked because you can find the solild ones every where. My sportster uses them and I have not had any compaints with its solid rotors.

In theory they are even more important on BDs because we already have undersized rotors for the weight of the bikes, anyone who has ever really opened their ride up and then tried to stop quickly can attest to this. The problem with BD floating rotors is poor design.
