Finally!!!! someone came through. A guy stopped by the shop the other day on an 08 Pitbull and I was talking to him and he said he ordered a new tach cuz his kept flashing. His mechanic who dont know a thing about bikes or maybe much about cars for that matter, told him his tach was bad. Pulled the screwdriver from my pocket and fixed it in a couple seconds. Saved him a few hundred......Then sold him a complete paint job!!! Thanks Big Dog for the ugly paint jobs!!!Low idel below 900 rpm Is bad for the motor. The oil pump is not designed to give enough oil pressure that low. That's why it is a WARNING!
X2, yup!If you're smart you will put in an oil pressure gauge. Don't leave home without it!
Turn it out just a little bit till you can maintain 950 rpm or more. It will increase as it warms up. An adjustable idle screw makes it a lot easier.I am glad this info is here. My bike does the same thing on cold starts. I'm no mechanic, do I screw it in or out? While running or no?
My oil pressure gage says differentLow idel below 900 rpm Is bad for the motor. The oil pump is not designed to give enough oil pressure that low. That's why it is a WARNING!
The gas indicator in my Audi A4 keeps stop working every now and then... easy fix?X3! One of the first things I added.
I've been fixing Audi's my whole life. I have all kinds of people go to the dealership, they get told all kinds of things, with a computer printout, and told $800 whatever...they come over to me, I scan it, crawl under the seat, re-splice the wires, and off they go....or my daughter in another state gets told her ABS system is shot and needs a new one, she calls me up, I tell her boyfriend to go look at the caliper that's locking up, and that's all it is.......it's like the old joke, do you want the regular, cheap windshield washer fluid or the HALOGEN bright washer fluid...![]()
LOL, I should have explained better.... I meant to say the whole thing stops working: needle & light... it´s like it looses power. The tank can be full but the needle stays at the Empty position. If it's on put gas in it, then it should go out which may make you think it's not working but I bet when your running low it will come back on!![]()
