I could be wrong about this, but a chemical reaction to heat is say, when will water boil in florida as opposed to boiling water in the north pole? Won't both reach 212F before it boils say? So cold is cold, slow cranking, and hot ambient is a faster start. Chem vs. Chem.
So chemically speaking, didn't the boiling point meet both the same numbers wherever you stand on earth? So in a way, temp has jackshit to do with the longevity of a battery. It's all about pre-prep.
1. BS = Battery (ACID) Supplied.
2. Pleats = Let the acid soak into the pleats for at least an hour before a charge.
3. Charge = The battery completely.
4. Discharge = The battery down to 2v X's 3 charge/drain cycles.
5. Fully = Charge the battery for the last time and install for service.
6. Follow = How Yuasa prepares the competition's batteries against theirs.
7. Amp = Rate is determined by moving the decimal point over to the right; for example a 12v14a battery needs a minimum of 1.4amps to charge a 14amp hour rated battery. 12v12a would use a 1.2amp rated charger @ [literally for] for 12 hours are those rates.
8 Rate = Is the fully charged battery using a 1.4a rated charger for a 14ah battery. You lose .2v if using a 1.2a rated charger. It will not be fully charged but be at a balance of 1.2a, not a stronger capacity of 14a rated is the battery.
