Here is some pictures from the impound .... I went down to sign a release to NTSB & Insurance company... the frame is solid and in good shape ...drive train is good... wheels are good ...on impact the fender struts were sheared off at the frame and front forks bent, the car came to rest on the wide frame and big radius exhaust which is what saved me from being totally crushed... this is one tough american made chopper... the bike now has 2:1 Big Radius Fishtail.

Sure looked much worse when it was under the car. Thats fixable if the frame can be verified straight.
Still glad you are alright Bill. Think you'll have your ribs fixed up and that bike fixed in time for the Redwood Run? ha ha :)

I'd see how much you can buy that for. You could have a nice supply of parts for us and sell stuff on ebay. Most insurance companys auction them for penny's on the dollar.

Yours was a real nice color too. Dont give yourself the headache and total that puppy.

I'd snatch the EHC to sell and save the air cleaner for something to remember her by !

I echo what others have said: Glad you are OK.

The pictures of it crammed under the car, sure made the bike look like a total waste. From the pics above, it looks like (if the frame is true) that you may be on the road soon.

Good luck is in your corner.

Bill,

what was the NTSB release for?

I think we now see another reason to put the Big Radius on our Dogs.

Wow, very interesting to see...I agree with Ray, looked much worse under the car.

That's definitely bigger than luck...that's God's grace right there!

Good Question...The NTSB contacted me to collect data.. pictures and set up an interview with me.... I will be meeting with the crash research investigation team.... there goal is to get a better understanding for motorcycle safety and injuries..I'm going to use this arena to get my strong views on Cell Phone / distracted driving crashes on record !!!
