First ride on 2007 K-9

Ok, I just finished my first ride on the 2007 K-9 that I just bought.
It was run to ride but a little stiffer than I expected. It started right up in the cold weather which I was happy about. I have to find some need foot pegs. The ones on the bike are small all metal running board style. It made my feet feel like they wanted to slide down and right off of the peg. I am hoping I can find matching pegs that match my handle controls and passenger pegs.

Please let me know if you recognize this style and where I might be able to get a set of foot pegs. Also, I am going to need forward control extensions. I am 6'2" so I think I will need a 3" or 4" extension.

Any recommendations are appreciated.

I'm 6' and used 2.5" extensions. They were the right size for me. just a little food for thought. Welcome!

I see your 2nd ride is a Raider. Nice bikes. I had an '09 S but traded it on my Street Glide.

Just keep riding the Dog. The stiffness will move between your legs :)

It looks like you have the same pegs as I do. The bike was purchased new from Thunder Cycle (Eddie Trotta) and they replaced a bunch of parts before orignal owner took delivery. I am the second owner and cant say for sure they came from there but I think so. Check there.

Dakota, Funny you mention Eddie Trotta because I have been told that my K-9 made a stop there as well. We may be onto something. i did check his website but did not see anything to match. By the way, Nice Scoot.

I noticed they had the grips and then searched the internet for pegs with the same name. Vicious cycle has the pegs but just call them Ball milled. They have been ordered.

I took one of the passenger pegs off and put up front to make sure they felt ok and they did. Problem is, one of the allen heads on the passenger peg was stripped out and I stripped the other one. I stripped the one out after putting it on without the nylon washers. Stripped it out trying to take it off to put the washer on.

Need less to say, I had to take the whole thing off and drill it out tried reverse drill bits with no luck). Now I need to find replacement passenger peg bolts. The other one does not need to be fixed until I have a reason to remove it.
What fun.

I thought I found the foot pegs I needed but no one has them in stock and they are discontinued. Eddie Trotta no longer makes them and they do not have any either? Looking to replace everything with all chrome and spike ends. Any recommendations?

Some of that you will have to get used to, it's the nature of the beast. When I test rode my dog my feet vibrated off the pegs and my azz slid up off the back of the seat and I think my balls backed up into my throat !!!:whoop::2thumbs:
