Had that happen to me once when I frst got my K9 was sitting on it fortunately hit the start switch and JERK my other bikes wouldnt start if the bike was out of neutral and since the bike was new I was having some troube getting her in neutral even when stopped. But it does get better as everyone says a changover to Redline from the stock fluid helped out a but as well at least for my bike. If it doesnt get better over time (1000-2000 miles) have the dealer adjust the clutch that works as well for some people. Oh and hell your can run her over 40 just dont get the rpms up to high I was doing 65-75 in sixth gear few days out of the gate.
