Hi Gents, happy valentines day for you all

Question, After I change the EHC and BDM ignition module for the wireplus and thunder heart ignition module I have prome with my 1 cylinder. the sparkplug is getting black from the smoke and the engine begin to work bad.
and I see black some coming out of the first pipe.
the 2 cylinder works fine.
do any one know why is doing these

thx

If you changed the coil out also be sure that you didn't cross the wires. The yellow wire goes to the front, red wire goes in the middle, and blue wire to the rear and be sure you didn't cross the spark plug wires. You may also want to change out the spark plugs to rule that out. May have fouled one.

Believe it or not it will run with the yellow and blue wires crossed. The ignition module you changed is it a programable one? Also again you may have a fouled spark plug. Change them out to rule that problem out. Check your wires where you changed out the ignition module to be sure the wires are connected correctly and securely.

The ignition module id programable. I already chnage the sparkplug.
I need to doble check the wires when I go home.

rrruff, when you stand in front of the coil I see the red in the middle, the yellow on the right hand and the blue on the left hand.
in the ignition module in the basic settings I see Rev Limit 5984, Rev limit2 6048, crank sensor delay 120, crank sensor sync 0, speedo cal 40960, number of cylinder 2, engine size 1918

Yellow wire goes to the front of the bike, red wire in the middle, and blue wire goes toward the rear of the bike. Don't know about the settings for the ignition module. There is some post here in the technical section. Do a search there. If what you are telling me the coil is wired wrong.

Errol, did you have any similar issues before you changed out your EHC? Is the smoke always black or is it white? Can you smell oil? Have you checked to see if you're getting fire to that front cylinder plug? Is the motor running rough or does it idle smooth and just smoke?

before change the EHC I dont have these issue.
always black
I don't smell oil
what do you mean with get fire to the front cylinder
at lower rpm it run rough

If the bike ran well before the install of Wireplus and Thunderheart then that tells me something on the install of one of these products is not correct.
Just to rule out the Thunderheart remove it and reinstalled the stock ignition module and go from there.
If the bike still runs poorly then something on the wireplus install is wrong. IE crossed wire somewhere.
Basic troubleshooting....take a step backwards and rule things out...recheck all wiring with ohm meter and diagrams. Make sure you disconnect battery first before checking wiring...

Let me re-state this "YELLOW wire" fires the FRONT cylinder. "BLUE wire" fires the REAR cylinder. RED wire is the power wire. These are your connections at the IGNITION COIL down by the key switch.

By "fire", I mean is the spark plug getting fire/spark when the engine is running? I can't think of anything on the WP installation that would allow spark to one cylinder but not the other. You may want to check your plug wire to make sure you have continuety and that there are no issues with the plug wire. Also, check and make sure you have a good connection on both ends (plug and coil). If you don't have a meter to check continuety, you can always swap plug wires and see if the rear cylinder gives you the same problem after doing this. If so, I would say you have a bad plug wire.

Yes this may be the problem if he removed it and reversed the yellow and Blue wires. They also connect to the the ignition module where he installed the Thunderheart. I would also check all the ignition module connectors for bent pins...Check for continuity between yellow coil terminal and the Ignition module in addition to the crimp of the yellow wire at the coil.

Good point if it was the Wire Plus more than likely it would not run at all. My bad I should have looked at wiring diagram first....

If I understand what you are saying here you need to swap the yellow and blue wires.
