FIRST BIKE WHERE TO START

I know everyone hates knewbies, but is there any good threads I should read before buying a bike. I been borrowing my dads HD Duece for about a year know and I'm wanting to get something of my own so we can ride together. I'm looking at the pit bulls for mainly the price, around an 02 or something seems like they are pretty reasonable $$, seen several under 10k. Winter is coming so sales be starting. Im 30 so I think I could handle the rough ride for the looks.Any good links to some good threads are appriciated. And maybe any year to shy from. Thanks

Welcome to the forum. We were all newbies at one time...and as one member states, there are no dumb questions. It's amazing regarding $$$ for a Big Dog, but they can be had for several thousand less than a Harley for comparable years. Besides, a Dog is a man's best friend and a Hog is a filthy animal that likes the mud and eats shit. :) No offense all you dual Dog/Hog owners. :cheers:

Welcome to the pound. You will find the answers to all of your questions here. Let your fingers do the typing and burn up that search button. FWIW the Pitbull is a fine choice.

Welcome from Texas! Riding solo I think a rigid is no problem. If you plan to have a passenger, try before you buy. I almost bought a Pit til I took the wife for a ride. I was OK but it was pretty rough on the pillion. Just my $.02 :)

Welcome love my 03 pit no problems im 47 and still riding the rigid. You can get a two up seat from sterling seats with jell in it if you are going to have a passenger works great. Enjoy whatever you get . rubber side down
