06 K9 Why is it so hard to find neutral at stoplights???

Don't have a clue what you're talking about. Not a stoplight in a 25 mile radius from my house. Of course, I live in the Desoto National Forest. It has it's good and bad.

i usally try and hit nuetrl before i stop, 99 % of the time i am doing a rolling stop,,also rev it a little above 1200 seems to help also,,

Me too. And, if I don't, I blip the throttle at a stop (sometimes more than once) and drop it into neutral.

Very seldom do I shift into neutral at a stop light, you never know when you may have to move quickly. But I do shift into neutral while the bike is still rolling. Sometimes you I can ease out on the clutch while sitting still and shift it into neutral. Clutch adjustment will also affect this also.

I only have problems when I'm sitting on an incline pointed up hill when the bike is warm.
I have not tried to adjust the clutch cable yet.
My driveway in front of the garage is a small incline, not much at really, I get neutral no problem riding the bike around town, even at the red light about 4 blocks from the house (where the road is level). But when I pull up to the garage door (on the slight incline) and try to get neutral to keep from turning the motor off while I get off and open the garage door, I can’t get it for anything. Revving the motor, rolling forward or back, easing out on the clutch till it grabs a little or a lot, no dice, I ALWAYS have to turn it off then crank it again for the 15 foot drive into the garage.

Install a garage door opener.Thats how i solved the same problem.:up:
