Faulty key switch?

Energy One
Alright fellows! I've got a 2004 Mastiff and over the past week or so I've been experiencing electrical problems. More specificly, I'm getting absolutely no juice when I turn on the key. I've checked all connections and everything appears to be tightly fastened. I found that if I wiggle the key I get the lights to flicker. I don't know if it's co-incidental or what. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there any way to test the switch itself? Hopefully it's not a bigger problem ... the EHC!

My key switch was replaced at no charge by the local BDM dealer long after the warranty had expired...

Ok ... so can I purchase a new switch online? Or do I have to order one through a dealer? I didn't have any luck on the Big Dog site.

You can order them through a BD dealer but they are a rip. I think they wanted something like $70 for a new one. If you goto a Harley dealer you can use a '99 or earlier sportster style switch ($22) with some modification to your stock coil cover. The key won't fall out on that one either. It has 3 positions instead of 2, but it works the same. 1st position is OFF, 2nd and 3rd position are both ON. Skim to the end of the WP install thread and you will see pics and a how-to on installing this switch. It's pretty easy just takes some time with a grinder.
