Never was a "Factory Backed" owners group that I know of. They were trying to BDM to back it but nothing ever happened... besides it folding up.
About a year ago, I got a card in the mail from the factory, saying a factory backed owners group was coming, a group that the factory would take active participation in. It had a survey and everything. I'm really not trying to piss anyone off because this group is bad ass, but it would be nice to have active factory participation. Does anyone else remember getting this card in the mail?
No, I think he's referring to something else - one of the BDM feedback surveys asked about interest in an official Owners Group - but I never heard anything about actually making it happen. There was also discussion on the other web forum about having that site officially sponsored, but that was just speculative talk on the forum - I don't think anyone ever approached BDM with a proposal. Besides, the general response from the forum members was cool at best. That's my recollection.

There was an extremely long post on the other forum at one time about an owners group...with talk about patches and even possible designs and such. One of the members had been talking to someone at the puppy farm, and supposedly things were moving slowly, yet moving toward the company supporting such a thing. Then all of a sudden...nothing, like it never happened. Kinda like the other forum...lol.
