i to my buffing wheel on the grinder and took the crome off. the bar was made to mount down on the frame of a ridge that is why the bends are differant, but it was center of the bike. like i said it was just a idea and i wanted to see what it looked like and the sissy bar been sitin on the shelf for a couple years now. if it would of worked out i would of redone the hole bar and had a friend of mine run it threw the powder coater. but such is life.I am all for doing it yourself, but this time, I am going to say, "leave it to the experts."
Isn't the rear fender 'glass. (not sure on that year model)
And the bends on the bar are not symmetrical....uh, not sure if it is straight.
Look on ebay for AIH sissy bars. If you can get the footballs and the bar you could do that.
I got their tall bar and the mounts for $80 You will have to drill extra holes somewhere, but it might be better than shorting out your bike when the signals snap off.
Also how did you weld the chrome without the chrome contaminating the weld?
i hope i can find mounts and a sissy bar for $80 bucks
