F150 crossed the yellow line at me yesterday

Yesterday I'm riding with one of my friends. We are on a back road about 5 miles from home. A driver in a big black Ford F-150, looking at the landscape, instead of the road, crosses over the yellow line and almost takes me out.

Thank god I have quick reflexes. I swerved to my right, just missing his F**KING big a$$ mirror, and I was able to cut back into my lane, to keep from going into the ditch. While all that was going on, my thumb was on the horn.

I looked right into his eyes, as he cut the wheel and got back into his lane. Thats how close it was. I could see the panic on his face. Bet he saw the anger on mine.

My friend was back far enough to avoid everything. I had all I could do from keeping from going after him and beating the shit out of him.:angry::angry:

What is wrong with people. :loony:

I'm afraid that happens all the time. That's why you have to be so cautious when riding as you were. Glad your ok and nothing happened.

Ask Billy Lane how fast your life can change. Glade you here to share the story. Way to stay alert.

Another lesson to stay alert.
With any luck the driver of the truck learned something and is more careful in the future.
It would of been fun to beat the shit out of him but it really would not of helped anything.

Thanks everyone. Funny how when it happens, your instincts take over. I'm so glad I learned to ride as a kid, and raced dirtbikes. You have no time to think when that stuff happens.

I'm just glad I was the one in the front and not my friend. its been two years since he has ridden, and this was a new bike for him. Its why I took him on back roads with no traffic. To help him get used to the new bike. Because of that, he was about 30 feet behind me and to my right. Just where I could keep track of him in my mirror.

Every day of riding is a roll of the dice with cagers. The worst ones are young and texting. God help us all!

Glad that your here to tell us the story. There's been way too many accidents within the BDM community this year and we need to keep our eyes peeled because the cagers aren't going to.

Near my home on the state highway I travel everyday there is a sweeping curve that opens up to the first view of the water from the road for east bound traffic. I cannot tell you how many damn times a vehicle has crossed the center line there becasue the dipshits see that bay and can't keep their eyes on the road. I make it a point to keep to the right even in my truck. THANK GOODNESS you have a story to share and not a tragedy.

Back in 1987 I did the Keith Code "California Superbike school" course. I thought I knew alot about riding and racing before the course, WRONG!. I still to this day practice my counter steering drills. You'd be suprised how it helps your reflexs.

He also had a section that taught street survival. Same idea as what your talking about 1BADK9. On a left hand blind corner, stay to the outside of the corner to avoid the possible car coming the other way and crossing the line. Things like that. Great course to take if you ever get a chance.
