You guy's are 100% correct re comments of trying to find good labour.

One thing you did not mention is the way Safety stats have screwed up the industry.
A man is only expected to carry 10 KG, beacuse that is all a woman is allowed to carry.
You can't tell someone to use "Common sense" not a lot of people have it, my wife is an example. She has an IQ of 175 and has trouble rolling up a hose.
This why we have JSA's to protect people from them selves, and Safety is an industry in it's self, linning the pockets of people that are too dumb or lazy to get of their fat bums and get a real job.
Sorry i'll get back in my box.
Good luck with the sale, although a lovely looking bike, with whats out there i think you will find it hard to sell especially now leading into winter.

I forgot about the drug thing because we don't do drug testing. I have a company like Pknowles that is Arc drilling and they test around 20 applicants before they find even one to interview. Then I guess comes the drug test so how many applicants does it take to find one good one? No wonder so many people are out of work. It's complex and a combination of many things but the economy is doing down and there is little we can do about it.

In 2001 we had over 1000 tests run a day from over 6300 companies. Today we are lucky to have 100 tests a day run from 1200 companies. I'm losing about one good company a week that are going out of business.

So I hope this guy gets his bike sold now that we have hijacked his thread...
No worries BadDawgBill, it happens! LOL

I sure do hope you sell your bike IF you really need to. I think the last thing I would sell was my bike. As soon as you do you will notice every bike going down the road and get that knot in your stomach.

I don't need to but I want to. My daughters passion for horses comes first in my book. She is only my little girl for so long and seeing her compete is the absolute best! I can always get another bike but never be able to turn back time and get these moments again. :2thumbs:

If the AU dollar was within 10% of parity with the US dollar I would take it.

Have a look at what they are asking for a K9 in Australia. :zz2cents:

2007 Big Dog K-9
I hear you! I paid 20 k for mine in 2011..... I am not surprised the Swedish did that huge import from the US... they can get almost 50% profit in each bike!

I wish I had money............

To bring that K9 in now it would cost approx the following.

US$15500 + 23% currency exchange +10% GST + 5% duty + 10% import / shipping fees + $7500 for compliance and registration.

Over AU$30000. Not worth it.:zzdisappointed:

Chopper market locally is capped at around $30000. Anymore, and they tend to sit there for a long time. I still see the local made choppers that are asking $55000 still for sale 12 months later.

From my experience the ones bringing in them in that can make money now are
dealers that have their own RAWS (compliance workshop). Out of that $7500 there is approx US$5000 profit in the compliance as they do their own, plus another US$1000 saving in the shipping.
