Extended Forward Controls

I'm 6' 3" and as much as I love the Bulldog it would be great to get my legs further forward. I seen there are extended forward controls. Does anyone have any experience with these? I've only seen 2 1/2" extensions. Are there other lengths available?

As a side note, I was also looking at the tribal forward controls, but I don't see that they make these in an extended version. Would be nice to extend with a little more design than standard if possible.

The companies that were making the longer extensions have stopped making them so unless you can find a used set you will probably have to go with the BD 2.5 kit. The tribal is just the lever portion of the controls so if you have the tribal stuff you would just put them on the new setup.

If you can't find any, which I'm sure you will be able to, you can always make an extension plate, like I did.
That came out awesome! Did you cut that yourself, also question how did you do the first polish on that piece of Aluminium?

For the 3"+ that's all those companies did was make an extension for the control and brake line. If over 3" you'll need to extend the brake line

At 2 1/2'' you will have enough brake line. You may have to reroute it a little bit. I can't tell by the pictures what bike I did that to, I think it was Sniper's k9. I have 4 1/2'' on my 03 chopper. I think I have pictures somewhere, but I'm to much under the alcflunance of incalcohol to find them right now. I'll look later.

Ok, I did some digging and found some pictures of the one I did for bluedog.

First I drilled a plate, so we could mount his pegs at different lengths, to see what fit him best.

Then we got some aluminum flat stock, and drilled and counter sunk the holes.

Then we cut them for the contour of the stock controls, and polished them out.

We had to cut and lengthen his shift rod. I'll see if I can find those pictures.

Unfortunately, I had a computer bug a while back and lost a lot of pictures, but I did the same thing with mine. I just cut it in 4 places and drilled and tapped each piece, then screwed it back together with all thread, with spacers in-between. I used brass nuts on mine, but on bluedog's I took 1''x1'' aluminum blocks, and drilled them to look like dice.
