A couple of questions from a non mechanic who wants to learn. These look like straight pipes, no mufflers. Will this not damage the engine? Also, with the pipes being so short, do they not mount anywhere but to the engine? I want to get new pipes, I'm trying to learn more before I buy. These are in my price range, much better than $800.

hey Paul I really dig those pipes man and they have a great price. on that cycleplictity website it says they don't come with heat shields but yours look like they have shields on there where'd you get them. and have these pipes turned gold or blue since you've had them?

Jp cycles has them. They also have the pipes.
They are blue around the exhaust manifold but the heat shield covers most of it.

Those handlebars are wicked! Can you post a close up pic of them?
I have them and I scraped on right hand turns. I like them a lot but at the moment had to take them off.those look sick killer bike Paul. thanks for the info bud

Thanks they are from Vicious Cycle Works. When the ehc went out o just decided to rewire the bike and while I was at it changed the bars
