I just recieved my new exhaust kit, I got the Vance and Hines Big Radius kit. I took it all out of the box just to find out it DOES NOT FIT. I called vance and hines and they told me they do not make a direct fit system for my bike. They told me I had to make a custom fabricated bracket to make it work.

I wanst aware of all that! especially after spending $800 on them.

Any of your thaughts would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you,

I am not familiar with the prosport but it appears that its in the fxr(dyna) type family. You weren't give a softail type were you?

I went to the guy earlier today and he let me know I was SOL. Does anyone have any ideas on how to make this work??

I'm on my fifth pipe on my bike and have had to alter the mounting brackets almost each time. If you fabricator can't make it then go to another guy. All Custom bikes have to get something like this done on lots of different brackets.

Look at it and determine if you need a plate or a rod fabricated and either do it yourself or draw it up and take it to a good shop and they can do it for you.
Shouldn't be to difficult.

Here is a pic of my Martin Bros Ghetto Blasters. The bracket didn't work so took a piece of all thread and shaped it with a torch and then had a shop fabricate one out of solid SS material. Worked great!

Good luck,
Ray

pretty much all pipes require a custom bracket except the v&h kits for the newer bikes. not to hard to make a bracket.

I attempting to install my semi-new marting bros pipes right now and can't get the bracket to line up. If they make these pipes to fit, should it bolt in somewhere besides the original bracket holes?

I fabricated my own bracket to make the Big Radius Kit work. They sound good. Im happy with them.

The bike seems to be loading up and backfiring though. I need to have it tuned.
