Exhaust woes........Pissed off Hippy

Well, I wouldn't go as far as saying I'm pissed...but.....!!

I ordered a set of those bargin Hooker Troublemakers and began my quest of installing them this morning. Well, to make a long story short.....they don't fit on my '04 Mastiff.!!! During the removal of my stock Kerker 2-1 stock pipes, I found they were broken right where the two pipes go into one. So now, here I sit, beer in hand wondering what the hell I'm gonna do. I figure I might take the Kerkers to a muffler shop in town Monday and see if they can be welded back like they were, hopefully to fit back..!!! If he can't get these pipes back right, I must ask does anyone have a set of stock Kerkers they took off their scoot, they might want to part with?? I looked on Ebay and found these...

and they fit a '03 Husky. Anyone know if they will fit my '04 Mastiff????

Oh well, that's what I get for trying to get a cheap set of pipes..!!!

I'll just sit back, watch golf and drink beer after beer after beer....for tonight.

I live....and I learn.!!!!!!!!

sorry to here hippy,, my pipes ( even though thay are differant ) fit perfictally,, damm hope some one has a set or you can get them welded, I've got some extra pipes but I'm sure thay wont fit from a 07 pitbull to your bike, if thay will give me a shout

Hey Man...that's the way my luck tends to run. I'll make another stab at it in the morning after I kill my liver tonight..!!!

I'm not giving up until tomorrow, but I can't see these pipes fitting.!!

I should have added this in my initial post, so here is my problem.

These are the pipes they sold me.....

Holley Performance Products SOFTAIL, 96"+ ENGINE 27400-1HKR


Firstly, the front pipe hits my master cylinder for the rear brakes, and even if I do modify the mounting bracket, I will have to remove my right side passenger foot peg, and I do not want to do that. I will make another attempt tomorrow....just to make sure.!!

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but, but any should fit as long as they are for softail models. They only problem may be if your is left or right side drive. When ordering you have to specify on l/r side drive. In January I put a set of Martin Bros. Madustas on and all I had to do is specify l/r side drive and if it was a softail. Wish you the best and good luck.

Just bring it to a muffler shop, it will take them about 5 min to weld it back together. The weld will not be pretty chrome, but they will work and you'll be able to polish up the weld.

The weld will be covered by the heat shields, so that is not the problem.

hey hippy,i put martin brothers wtfs on my 04 mastiff and the front pipe also hits the rear master cylinder.been on there for 4 years now.when i took them off to replace the gaskets,there is now a worn flat spot on the master.must be another one of those bigdog special size masters.good luck with the problem bro.it sucks.i still have my kerker if you need it.i am in cali though.might be pricey for shipping however.mobsta

Hey mobsta...I really appreciate your offer, but yeah, Cali is quite a ways off to ship a set of pipes. I have a set offered here in VA, just a mere 3 hrs away, and I am to pick those up Friday. I'll get it back on the road by this weekend.!!

Also, thanks for the info on your pipes hitting the MC..!! At least, I know I'm not the only one with this problem.!!!
