Exhaust Question

I went for a nice ride Sunday morning prior to meeting the wife and some friends for lunch. I hit a fairly large bump (shitty Colorado Springs roads) and the Bassani muffler section went skidding down the road. Luckily there wasn't much traffic so it didn't receive further damage. A little road rash at the back, but the worst was the lower slip on yoke got slightly crushed. I picked up a cone-shaped pipe shaper tool, which worked, but it isn't perfect. Once clamped down, even the top yoke leaks a little, the lower leaks more. I'm assuming the clamps are original to the Bassani system, and they're at max clamping now (barrel nuts are touching).
Any issue with having the small leaks between the header pipes and muffler section?

lived in CO for 18 years....if you don't like the roads there....don't ever come to iowa....bwahahahaha

Anyhow, you can replace your Bassani clamps with after market ones....Even on non road rash pipes I've heard people have issues with the OEM clamps.......If your exhaust is leaking, you will be sucking MORE air back into the engine when you release throttle.......not a really good thing....

Let it go. The passage is so narrow, it has to be more an open pipe to upset any feedback. Not even close to leaning out the bike, cooling off some valve to warp it? The air heats up before it gets there. Only thing that will happen is the soot is going to exit out the gap, coat the chrome.

Issue debrief:
Header to muffler leak - No.
Header to exhaust port and cool air enters - Yes.
