I got the ole scooter out a couple weeks ago , went for a little ride a couple times. It is covered back up now, with fresh gas in it. I have been retired for going on two years now, I worked 3rd shift for 12 years and am finally starting to sleep past daylight. Staying a little busy , not burning the candle at both ends anymore, running on 4 - 5 hours sleep and lots of caffiene everyday. I carve now with a small CNC in the garage, old habits are hard to give up. I ran about every metal making part for almost 25 years before Nafta took all our jobs. I carved several of these yesterday. I get the Bamboo cutting boards from the Dollar tree for $1.25. The other side says, "Trust in the Lord , and do good." Psalms 37 v 3 December before last the Dr's at Vanderbilt took a plate out of my head where a horse kicked me above my left ear in 1968 that had been there since 1970, it had some issues. I have no plate covering the hole in my skull now, just long gray hair. I am blessed to still here, and very Thankful as well ! Hope everyone has a most Blessed Thanksgiving !

Did something today never done before. My two granddaughters age 17 & 21 took me to downtown San Antonio and volunteered helping serve meals to the homeless at a shelter. The two girls planned this for us and I must say I am so very proud of them. We met some great people. Thousands were served. A lot of Vets were served and I had some very good conversations with most. We just got home and will now eat a late dinner with rest of family. Great day and hope all are safe and got to be with your families!

That’s a really nice adventure that you went on and shared with your family and it makes wonderful memories. Buff and I volunteered to help a friend hand out meals wend . We emptied two semi refrigerator trailers by 2pm . I had an amazing time but my friend was scared that I couldn’t keep my mouth shut that long and keep a pleasant demeanor. I fooled him But yes it was hard To do but met some really nice people .
