Here in New York state we have Cornell University. One of the top research facilities in the country. Even they will not support the Ethanol being used in fuel. They did research and feel it is not cost effective for one. Along with the fact that it produces less BTU's than fuel without Ethanol blend. With the shortage of corn this year, over 65% less...it's no wonder the price of fuel just keeps going up. We have at least one station here local that has Ethanol free fuel on the 91 octane pump. This is great, BUT....it cost more than the 93 octane at other stations using 10% ethanol...Hummm, can you say supply and demand. So many people started using this a couple months ago that they felt they could take advantage of it. Last I saw, it was going for $4.50 a gal :eek:
Someone needs to start a petition about this Ethanol stuff.....or maybe class action lawsuit :D
