I'm considering entering my 2004 BD Chopper in a show tomorrow...if I finish polishing tonight. Any tips or advice?

Have fun!!!!!!!!! Don't go in thinking you'll win. All judges have their own preference that may not always be in sync with this forum. If you do win, take a few pics and post'em. Good luck.

Last show I entered my bike was far from clean and I won first place over bikes all chromed out with lots of money invested in them...so I think it's truly like playing the lottery!

Just go have fun! Good Luck!

Well you asked for it. Good luck with the Show. Have fun ! Ride in. stock class
is a tuff one. Be prepaired to take alittle negitive feedback. I don't know how serious
the judges and show on lookers are going to be.
Especially with a Big Dog . "look what he paid for" "Nice Chopper in a box""Off the shelf bike".Many peolpe build there own and give no credit to a beautiful well cared for stock bike-with a few chrome add ons. Don't take it to heart.
Enjoy yourself.Meet some people.
I've had quite a few antique Harleys that I entered in shows.Always had a great time.
Good luck - Let us know how you do !

Did NOT make the show.
Was gonna ride the bike to the show and enter it but when I turned the key on...nothing.
I still have not found my problem but I am leaning towards a bad battery. Trying to let it charge now to confirm some meter readings.

That sucks, sorry you missed the show, but I'm sure you will find another show to enter. Good luck with the starting issue, lots of help on here if needed.

I have placed 1st and 3rd in two of the 4 shows Ive entered. I've never cleaned the bike prior. I really don't care for the competition, so I never really cared to win or not. I won the 1st place at the 1st show it entered, that's enough for me. It was loaded with brake dust and water and dirt from the few hundred or so miles I put on it that week. Don't kill yourself and just get the main enjoyment from watching others looking at you bike ..... and wishing they had one...

I have judged lots of shows. If it is a local ride your bike in kind of show, quality and fitment is top priority.
If it is a big or national trailer your bike kind if show then every nook and cranny is important. When all the bikes are top quality the smallest details make a winner.
