Enough Snow already, send it to Vancover

Well for many of the folks across the country, this winter is getting ridiculus but for us along the Mid-Atlantic, it out of hand.

Sitting here watching the news and they are flying in snow onto some of the mountains in Vancover to insure they have decent base for the Olympics.

Here I got 32 inch this past weekend, the temps have not gone above 30 since then, and now we are expected another 18 inch or so today into Wednesday.

Spend 5 hours the other day just clearing off the drive way and will be spending most of the day in the cold trying to get some off the roof so lessen loads with the additional amount coming in. Got a good roof and it is pitched, but having seen a few on the news that collapsed, figure will do what I can to lessen the loads.

Everyone be careful out there and for anyone from N VA to the far NE, my condolences. This is crazy-send the snow to Vancover so some carzies can bust their butts on the fressstyle and snow boarding runs. :loony::loony:

Larry thanks,

Love snow in general but when it comes this heavy and in such a short period of time, it gets old. Bad is that it is not even getting a break between storms nor has the temp gone up enough to really help melt anything.

Then it sucks that the riding is a no go so far. Can and have dealt with cold temps many times but do not do anything with snow or ice and based on what is down now, it may be more than a few weeks before I can get out for some two-wheel fun again.

You be safe and hopefully I will get down you way sometime this year and share the road with you again. Good to hear things are going well BTW!

It's good here Tim, not the best weather this winter but nothing compared to what the upper eastern seaboard has seen. It's just been wet (raining) and cold here at night but it does warm up during the day into the 50's with bright sunshine. Again your welcome anytime and you already know that, so come on down....

Well try having an Arizona mindset (dreaming of sun, open roads and lots of space) but living in Minnesota where we are continually getting snowed on but it won't melt because we have weeks of below zero (20-30) temps!!! Sucks isn't the word for it.

Well I can understand and I know that those in Minnesota, the Dakotas, etc are more used to this crap, however for us this is bad. That and the cities are not able to tackle it quickly, the stores give you a deer in headlight look when you ask about a roof rake and then very few know how to drive and way too many get out on the roads thinking because they have a F350 with Monster Mudders they can drive on ice.

Does make for interesting viewing of the news of all the wrecks.

Everyone be safe and for those snow bound, find a good book, a warm drink and a loving friend and make the best of it. For me after getting some off the roof, will finish watching "Long Way Down" and playing some guitar!

vancouver is 100 miles north, and this winter has been so dry we in the NW will be without water this summer. We are about 60% below where we need to be for snowpak.
Going on 41 days at or above normal winter temps with little measureable rain/snow.

We do not worry

I dont know what all the fuss is about. So we get a little snow, "Big Deal". Here in New Jersey we dont worry about 6' of snow.

We have the best snow removal program anywhere.......

It's called : "SPRING"

Enough "FRIGGEN" snow already. Hope everyone is safe out there.
