Sounds like you will have some fun with that thing. Be prepared to upgrade the clutch. Also, my roller rockers were trashed after about 1500 miles, the valve guides were shot and the piston rings worn. While they are in there ask them to make sure your cylinder bases are trued, this was a factory issue for me. Be cautious for newly developed top end noises, it means something isn't right. Be careful with your compression choices, I am having a few seal issues.

Add some nitrous and call it a day.

Got the Bike back this weekend. All i've got to say is WOW:eek: I expected power, but not this.... Awesome!!! Comes on at @ 3k and havn't had a chance to get past 4500 due to the clutch roasting. What a HOOT. Can't wait to get a clutch. This is the combo :D

Cut Jugs, Decked heads, Compression 11:2
Stock Valves, No porting work at all
Thunderheart ign
S&S 640 Cam and Springs
Super G- .031 I .060 main .078 main w/K&N Stock air cleaner housing
Mean Mother Slip ons
119.10HP/128.85TQ

Runs on 93 with no pinging whatsoever- Clutch is good if normal driving, but in a higher gear forget it over 4k. Want to just say Thanks to Rich at Precision
Bike Works for this build - Highly Recommended!!:2thumbs:

congrats!

What did they have to say about the Thunder heart ignition?

I'm having my engine rebuilt right now. I'm planning on upgrading the ignition

That it is a must when you do a build like this. Need to tune ignition at this power level. You wont be disappointed. Rideability is awesome, very responsive. Absolutly no pinging! Good luck with your build. What are your horsepower goals?

I would like to be above 110hp I have some john sachs ported heads with bigger valves going on and a 600 cam. It's being bored .010 and balanced. I think the compression will be around 10.5. I only have 91 octane out here in AZ and very hot.

The shop doing the engine can't dyno a 9' chopper so I will probably wait till I get it home to change the ignition and dyno it

wow that some good #s... I've been looking @ mine... seems my TQ comes on much higher in rpm... but I got stock heads & cam... I did cut down my baffles,,, that probbly hurt my TQ some on bottom end.. I want to do some head work & cam swap.. but wonder how much $$ for how much power .. I got the hooker trouble maker pipes.. a 2into 1 would help I'm sure..

Yea, my ass is definitly felcro'd to the seat :D Unfortunatly the stock clutch is a weak link for this power. She slips right about 3500. Sucks, because that's when in starts to make big torque. Really have not had a true taste of this power. Clutch will be going in soon. Btw Eric, nice power. My heads are also stock, but i think the difference is in the compression for my cam profile.
it's all about the Combo!

Hey TCALZ06, whos doing your work here in Phoenix?
GMR performance in prescott. They are still waiting on the crank from Dark horse. My new pistons are done and just shipped so I hope it's done in a month or so.

Are you thinking about having some work done?

I only have XXX Taz carb with dual thunderjets, S&S dual runner, and Stainless Creations pipes with baffles on my Ridgeback. I have to hold on now cuz my ass wants to slide off the back of the seat. I think you might need a seatbelt. :)

Great numbers!! Have fun.

Yes, I am. My S&S crank is being used but it was sent to dark horse for fixing and then balanced along with my rods. The crank needed a lot of work but Im hearing a new S&S crank can take a lot of work too. Cylinders had to be bored .010

My crank was shipped about a week ago so maybe it will be done in a week or so
