well rode downtown to chelios to watch the wings get their ass's kicked..

and i noticed for the first time ever that

I was running around 70mph and you could just feel like the bike missed or just lost power for a hot second. did this a few times on the 15 or so mile ride downtown... full tank of gas... battery was charged... kinda scared me a bit..
thought this was it the dog was gonna leave me stranded. But she didnt.. ( I was in the hood too)!!!!! NOT GOOD.. the hood = Ghetto
So here i am asking you guys should i be real concerned? what do you think this could have been from?
It kinda felt like if you were doing 70 and then turned the key to off then turned it back to run.. I felt the power loss...

also once or twice at around 70 i noticed a hell of a vibration coming from foot pegs it was shaken my feet to death... I remember thinkn to myself i dont ever remember the bike being this rough.. but then it did go away..
maybe i was trippn... I did quit smokn, so i wasnt high!!!! but i sure did tie a good one on downtown..!!! anyways what do you guys think?? thanks for reading!!!! T

What air cleaner are you running? Mine would do the same thing between 70 & 75. The problem was I was leaning out just before the transition to the main jet. The fix for me was upping the Int jet size. Not saying this is for sure your problem. Hope it helps!

The couple of weeks I spent in Detroit in training I can't imagine where you could run 70 and NOT feel like you were vibrating off the bike or doing front end damage. Derut city for sure...
I looked down today at my top engine mount bolts and one was gone, just gone. Mine was vibrating too. Bought a couple of longer bolts as people have said before.

Pull your EHC plugs and fill them with Dielectric Grease. I had my bike cut off 5 or 6 times one night about 5k ago and they were bone dry. Filled them up and never had a problem since. It needs done every 2500 miles especially with all your humidity.

bought the bike used but does have some sort of spike air cleaner....
looks like a K&N inside... I have not pulled and cleaned since i got the bike...

I was hinting toward the same thing BDM was saying. Your bike could be leaning out at that speed and RPM just before the carb transitions from the int jet to the main jet. The symptom you describe is the exact same I had. I had to re-jet(go up on the jet size to fix it). Look in the How-To section and follow Gas's instructions on tuning your cab. Tune it first then you will know if you need re-jettting! Hope this helps!

Since he's had the bike and air cleaner I find it hard to believe it's just now coming into fruitian unless the filter is all gummed up.

Mine done the same things last year on a ride I was on with a few guys. It ended up that the battery wires had came loose. After catching ten kinds of hell from all of the Harley guys I got her up and going and took all of them to the first straight stretch to prove a thing or two. They found out that they couldn't touch the dog when it was running good. She never gave me another problem.

I had the same prolblem TMACK did today, I was around 75 mph, bike starting to miss, roll the throttle on it wood run fine, go back to 75 start to miss. The temp was 85 degrees, low humidity. I rode all day in traffic and on the highway, the bike ran strong all day except for that period of approxiametly 15 min. Anyone have any suggestions ?.
