Engine Upgrades

Well next week I am upgrading my 07 K9 I will be installing the S&S 640 easy start cam. Going with the Dyna 2000I Ignition. closing off the combustion chamber and going with the Barnett clutch.

Dyno Mike who is one the better harley drag bike racers here in Missouri is going to be installing them. Cant wait to see how much more pep the K9 will have after this. Should be done in a couple of weeks. Will keep you all posted.

I screwed up actually it will be the bandit clutch. I had the clutch cables on my mind.

I hope it will be worth the money. He is hoping for at least 145-148 Hp...does that sound about right? its not that I don't believe him just seems pretty good!

thats pretty high but its all in the head work and compression matched to the cam.

who's doing the heads?

interested to hear about the easy start cam.

I don't think anyone has been close to 148 hp with those upgrades.

STLMIKIE I am in Lees' Summit, MO just outside of Kansa city.

I do not know for sure if he can get me that HP but he thinks he can and only the dino afterwards will tell us!!!

Like he said he is hoping for between 145-148 but he did not guarantee it. what ever he gets me I will be happy though!

it just seems like most of the people that have similar work done have about 10-20 hp less. If he gets that There will be allot of people sending there stuff to him!! But after you get that work done you will definitly have a bike that is quick as hell and sounds great!!

No way you will have that kind of HP with those upgrades, but it should be fun.

my engine has 640 cam port and polish heads, titanium valves and springs. g carb. i was told @ 127 hp. going to install triple x carb and thunder heart ignition this winter

Well I will hopefully get the bike back by this wed. He said he will put in on the dyno after a couple hundred miles. I told him most people I talked to on here say I will get around 120-130 HP. so he said he will do a dyno for free so we can see where we are at. I will keep you all posted and show the dyno results when I get. I am curious to see what it is myself!

hopefully he gives you the real numbers and doesn't add some to make it look better.
Anyway, whith thise mods it will definitly snap your head back!!

well I got my bike back and MAN does it sound good!!!! I got on it a little bit and what a freaking difference....It felt like a rocket taking off. Hopefully next week I can get the dyno done on it. It will be a different person doing it so I will get the actual numbers on it, but other people have told me about 135 hp tops with my upgrades. All I know is this bike is a whole new BEAST!!!! Now let my HD buddies talk smack.
