Did it do this one time? will the bike not run now? We need a bit more info from you.
Post make and model, year, more description of the problem and what it is or is not doing.
Thanks:cheers:

there was no water under the seat at all, after it colld down a bit it started fine and ran beautyful, i let it run a little over 5-min again and it ran great this time, i am thinking that i let it idle a little to long last time and it loaded up with fuel because when i gased it up it pop through the carb and it smelled like raw gas, i dont think they should just sit at an idle for a long period of time, like i said when it shut off the first i had it sitting for a time and you can here the RPMs slowly coming down and then she just stalled, other then that she runs very strong down the road, WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK????

THANKS

These engines are air cooled, you should never run it standing still for that length of time. you will have seizure proplems !!

never, i pump the throttle once, i idle once again for five-min this time, it ran fine, i think 10-min might have been a little long for idling,

If you're doing that you should goose the throttle a bit now and then also make sure that it doesn't idle down to low where the tach is flashing as this indictes low oil pressure. also as mentioned air cooled should not be idled to long. I did just crank mine up last week because I forgot what it sounded like and ran it for about 15 min but it was in the high 30's

When I work on my dog that requires it to be running I use a floor fan and aim it at the right front so it can hit the engine, exhaust and carb area. Plus it also hits the oil air cooler. However I never have had to idle for more than 5 minutes at the longest.

How many miles you have on that '04? It might need a new Fuel/Air screw. They tend to wear out after time, getting a slight grove in the tapered end of the needle. this will cause the motor to run too rich. I'm sure there is a thread on this on here and how to readjust it. if you can't find it, PM me and I'll go over it with you.
Also like others have said, make sure your idle is set around 900-950 RPM. If it is lower than that is may load up and stall.
Does it seem to run fine otherwise? It is possible to have an intake leak. While you are checking the fuel screw, also check to make sure the rubber plug on the carb intake vacuum nipple is still good and not all dry rotted.
