Engine Rattle (slash vibration)

Hey guy's & gal's I have a 2006 Ridgeback 117ci & when I open throttle aka romp on it, it feels like the engine wants to rip out or like a hard banging metal on metal banging like a broken engine support or motor mount bad, I've been looking around & I'm ready to start torqueing every motor bolt because at low or slow raping up rpm it runs fine its when I go wide open it bangs bad, so any ideas, opinions would be appreciated thanks

If you can't find anything on the outside, pull the primary cove and check the clutch hub nut. clutch basket may be hitting your inner primary cover.
But wouldn't it hit on low rpm ? ¡ can rev the bike up to speed but have to do it slowly not fast open throttle.

Fwiw, check and see if you have a compensating sprocket when you have your primary open...... when they go bad they make a hellva racket. Not all Dogs have em tho.....

Just a FYI since I didn't mention it. It happens when I'm riding when torque is applied don't do it just revving.

Sniper is pushing around a 145hp, and with his nut tight, it will still hit the inner primary cover. These bikes really need an outer support bearing on the end of the input shaft. I was talking to Matt at the factory, and they were trying to figure out a way to do that on the new bikes. That's way an open primary is much better for these high HP bikes.

Well that's the plan in the future open primary wich I love the looks anyway

When you have it under a torque, the end of the trans shaft will flex. If the nut is loose it will flex more.
Ok I need to change the primary oil and adjust the clutch so I'll probably do it soon when it gets warmer up here freaking mother nature

Got to thinking, also check the bolts on the back of the clutch housing, might have one backing out.

I did not see it mentioned yet. Check the upper engine mount above the carb.
Yea I haven't checked that or the engine bolts neither wich I think it is. When I bought the bike from the dealer they said bad engine mount or mounts wich I thought it don't have any just straight bolt to the frame ? Am I guessing wrong?

It's amazing how sound travels. Something as simple as a loose fuel tank bolt will make noise. This is a message for everybody, make sure your transmission bolts are tight. You would be surprised how many I find with the bolts loose or missing. I was talking to Matt the other day, and he said when filmed with a slow motion camera, these frames look like a wet noodle. The engine and transmission mounts, are part of what keeps these frames from cracking.

Check with Curtis at wild steed werks. He probably can get you a better deal on a new one versus going to Baker. I sure got a better deal with mine. Post pictures when you get it. Oh, they come with easy to use instructions and its a breeze to install.

:chopper:will do but first I need to solve this rattle issue, I can ride it as is without romping on it which is fine but I like the bike so I want it solved then go for the open belt drive

I had the same problem with a skipping belt and let it adjust again and more tension
Noting helped so i decided to change the belt
We found the problem that the bolt on one side of the rear brigde was snapped
