engine noise

Hey gang my 08 ridgeback in the shop for several problems paint chips on batt cover and fender salesman took picture on delivery,valve noise or bottom end noise more noticeable when warm and accelerating .was told normal but the dealer replaced rocker arms ,same or more noisy, they told me they called big dog but the factory hasnt called them back .so they gave me the number to call bigdog on monday.hopefully i can get these problems solved i can enjoy my bike 100 miles on bike at this time.

That much noise on a 2008, that thing got any oil in it. Did you check it or took the dealers word that it was ready to ride. Don't sound good at all espeically bottom end noise. Valve noise or clatter can be adjusted, bottom end knock, noise of clatter means serious engine problems (oil pump maybe). If it's the bottom end, I would make they replace the whole engine, rather than letting them open it up and repairing it. Good Luck

My 08 Ridgeback had what I thought was excessive noise around the 2500 rpm range. I have now swapped cams and adjusted the push rods and the motor is a lot quieter. Might look at the push rod adjustment. The book calls for 4 turns on the adjuster nut. The engine tune/spec decal on my down tube called for 4 1/2 turns on the adjuster nut. But many on here are running 3 turns. :hi:
