I use the XXX TAZ with two thunder Jets. I have ported heads, bigger valves, 650 woods cam and springs, Adjustable Thunder heart Ignition set at 4 degrees advance, S & S single bore tuned intake with dual filters and Street Walker RP-GEES 2-1 Exhaust. It hauls ass is all I can tell you.

If you decide to get one, let them know what you are running and they will try to set you up with a carb as close to your needs as possible. If your dog is stock you should see some improvement in the over all performance. my :zz2cents:

Hi guys, need lil info please. have my engine running sweet until around 65-70 still runs strong but with a difference.....there seems to be a clanging noise coming from engine area, but cant make out whether its engine or noisy primary ! have been told that both can be noisy but this dont seem right. if i pull my clutch in at that speed and rev the engine a lil it seems not to be there. only seem to notice it after a service, so maybe wrong adjustment somewhere ? any 1 had same experience............thanx

A racing shop that installed my NOS kit for me said in all the years of building and tuning bike motors, the difference between any carb tuned at WOT is about 5 HP. I guess the question is, how much are you willing to spend. Thunder jet... cool idea. How much are you going to be running the bike at WOT? Then again... how often do you run NOS? It is the thought that counts.

I have a stock motor with pipes and air filter and it helped with my bottom end and mid range for top end I really dont notice a difference. It was a sweet upgrade for me because changing jets are a lot easier also! It was a great upgrade for me!

its the best carb on market know people who have them cant wait till i get mine
not sure about that

like Marv said the PSI is a superior carb - he's had both and so have I. It is a lot more expensive though so it should be better

Got mine last week and it put the "Balls" back on my dog. I am more than impressed with the quality and performance. Sure there are more expensive carbs out there like PSI but since I rarely open up my Mastiff all the way, I wouldnt know the difference. All I know is when I twist that throttle all the way, I better be hangin on tight!

The technology sounds impressive. It looks cool! I just wouldn't pay that kind of money for a carb. Especially when you are really not gaining a lot of horsepower. The stock G carb isn't that hard to tune, and does a great job performance wise.

In my particular situation, my 2005 Mastiff came with an "E" carb and had restrictor plates between the intake manifold and the heads. Once the restrictor plates were removed and I installed the Super G intake manifold and XXX modded Super G carb, my bike really woke up. For me it was well worth the $$$.

sswweeet....TAZ XXX...I have a stock 117 with a few add on ..thunderheart ignition.woods w9b cam, S&S 2-1 tuned induction and stock exhaust with the baffles punched out....the bike is fast...and reliable..knock on wood...I use the thunderjets more than I thought...its easy to tip 4000 rpms when stepping through the gears..tell them about your motor when you order the carb they can set your jets I didn't have to fool with mine...which was really nice and did I mention the bike is fast..
