??? You do have the meter set on ohms, correct?

reverse leads, if still nothing set it back down to 2K.

nothing still...maybe my meter's not working...or maybe its just me.

Yeah its on ohms and took it to 2k and reversed the wires every combo i could think of and the meter just reads 1.

Now you're reading the tag mount, not the bike right?

Set it lower, like 200, if nothing the reverse leads.

I've just finished speaking with Cleaner regarding his upgrade.

In this case, he "can" add his new tag mount with running light and brake light capability, due to the removal of the BDM tail lights (both) and his BDM tag mount w/ lights.

New tag mount - connection - '08 BDM wiring
Black - Ground - "Old/BDM" Tag wire "Black"
Red - Running - "Old/BDM" Tag wire "Red"
Blue - Brake - "Old/BDM" Rear signal wire, Brown "OR" Violet, but "NOT" both!!!

I ran this same setup, with my blinkers, and using the running light and the brake light on the tag, for about a season with no ill effects. When I added the tag I removed all 4 of my BD LED blinkers and replaced them with 4 bulb joker blinkers just in the rear (seperate bulbs for brake and signal functions). Not sure if the LEDs have less or more draw than the regular bulbs. Now, my EHC was already shot, I had lost the ignition and headlight functions already at this point so I didn't give a shit. Anyway, it worked fine. What are you using for a brake light?

FYI:
LED lights require much "less" current than the requirements of the conventional bulb lights.
